Zach and I have had the hardest choices to make over these last few weeks! And we're really praying that this one is a good one! Its really hard for us, but we feel its best for us and our puppies if we find them a better home! We love them so much, and they are a part of our family, but we're afraid that once the babies here we can't give them the attention they need! Zach and I live in a condo, with no yard, right now its just us, so we're able to take them and play with them to make sure they get the exercise and attention they need! When baby comes, I'm afraid to take that away from them, and they deserve that time and attention! Let me tell you about them!
We adopted Ella when she was a puppy from the Humane Society, last July! She is the sweetest loving dog! She requires a lot of attention from people! When she was 6 months old we took her to puppy training school, and she was a show off! She acted like she already knew everything that they were teaching her( and she really didn't) but she is fully trained. She knows how to Sit, Laydown, Stay, Roll over, Heal, and play fetch! She being so good at all of this, taught our other Lab Kawi just by showing her. So Kawi is fully trained as well! Kawi we got from a breeder in Heber, She is the runt of her litter. So shes a pretty small lab. She was bread specifically for hunting, but as you all know zach and I don't hunt, but she is really good at playing fetch! She LOVES her ball, and could play for hours and hours! She carries her ball around all day in her mouth, and will just wait patiently for someone to throw it for her! They Also love the water, and its fun to throw sticks and things, and have them retrieve them! They LOVE it! Kawi and Ella are BEST FRIENDS! They have to go together! I cannot seperate them! And they will be better pets if they are together, They keep each other entertained. They are INDOOR dogs, and needs lots of love and attention from people! They are Labs so most people would have them as outdoor dogs, but we raised them indoors, and they have indoor manners. They do need a yard, that they can play and run in. We love our dogs and our soo sad to have to do this! Below are some pictures that show best their personalities! If you, or someone you know are interested please e-mail me at KEHLBELL_84@YAHOO.COM.
Kawi is on the Left, and Ella is on the Right
Like I said, they require lots of love and attention. They LOVE people, and think they're lap dogs!
This is Ella, Sometimes she doesn't think she is 70lbs, but we love cuddling!
i'm to hear you have to sell them. they are adorable. good luck!!
ReplyDeletesad.. :( We have a dog and it was really hard bringing kingston around him at first. I was a freak about it. I didn't want him jumping up on the baby and billy is way small. I understand where you are coming from I hope you find a home for them. If I didn't already have a dog I'd probably take them James loves loves labs and we have a huge back yard but once again 3 dogs and a baby is a big NO NO. But if you haven't found a home by the time the baby comes. Dogs are really good with children its almost freaky how much they are protective of them so they will do alright i'm sure... just do it slowly at first and don't freak out like I did. (I had crazy hormones after I had Kingston) Good LUCK!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sad babe! You know I was worried about my dogs too but they have been amazing with Crue. It's true...dogs are so protective of kids. Maggie couldn't let Crue out of her sight for the first couple of weeks. Also if you are worried about your dogs not getting enough exercise and love you could just take them walking everyday. Now that it is warmer I load up Crue in the stroller, grab the dogs, and we walk every morning. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sad! But I totally understand where your coming from two dogs and a baby is a lot of work. But I do have to say my dog is AMAZING with kate like he loves her so much and is so good with her. I'm like Shantaye I get up every morning and walk with hunter and Kate and he loves it. Or if I can't I have my husband run with the dog before he goes to work. Good Luck!
